Dr Felicity Smee

Chair, Surrey Training Hub

Fliss has been Chair of the training hub since April 2023. She qualified as a GP in 2006 and has been a GP partner for 10 years in Surrey. Fliss has been a Training Programme Director on the Guildford GP VTS for over 5 years and has from Sept 2024 stepped up to become the West Surrey Patch Associate Dean. She has a passion for ensuring high quality education and training in Surrey for all primary care staff.  Fliss works clinically in Guildford and Waverley 2 days per week.

Eleanor Johnstone

Clinical Lead

Eleanor is a dietitian by background, completing a postgraduate diploma in dietetics at Leeds Beckett University. Before joining the Training Hub as Clinical Lead, Eleanor worked at the British Dietetic Association (BDA) and was responsible for developing, leading, and implementing the strategy for the professional practice function of the BDA. Eleanor is passionate about empowering the primary care workforce through training and development, to ensure patients receive the right care at the right time by the right professional. As joint Clinical Lead at the Training Hub, Eleanor leads on the education, training and development programme for the multi-disciplinary team in primary care. Outside of work, Eleanor has taken on numerous home renovations.

Suzi Arnold

Clinical Lead

Suzi has a clinical background in physiotherapy and has worked for the Surrey Training Hub since 2021, initially as a Workforce Development Lead and now as the joint Clinical Lead with Eleanor. She is passionate about supporting the whole team with their various programmes of work to enable the continued provision and promotion of training and development opportunities for the Primary Care workforce. She is also committed to making the Training Hub a great place to work, developing our own careers and collaborating with system partners to improve care across the whole of Surrey.

Alexandria Dyer

Workforce Development Lead

Alexandria has worked for the NHS for the last five years after qualifying from Chichester University as a teacher in 2003 and MBA at Birbeck University. Previously a college and part time university lecturer, she has many years of experience in leadership and management within an Organisational Development role creating and designing learning interventions and programmes to support workforce and empowering individuals to recognise knowledge, skills and abilities through career development and training.

Lucie Towers

Workforce Development Lead

Lucie is a Registered General Nurse. She has over 15 year NHS experience, working in the Acute sector and Community. Lucie has a passion for supporting and developing others so they can reach their potential. She will be leading projects for Advanced Practice and Fellowships. She is currently undertaking an MSc in IPC.

Anneke Biginton

Workforce Development Lead

Anneke is a Registered General Nurse with 18 years of NHS experience largely in Emergency Medicine. Senior operational and managerial roles including clinical education, clinical risk management and workforce planning. Roles included Matron of an Inner London Emergency Department and Lead Practice Development Sister. Anneke has experience in supporting organisations through CQC inspections, teaching and educating for Major incidents and worked at NHS England supporting, advising and debriefing London Trusts on Emergency Planning, Preparedness, Response and Resilience. Anneke has a passion for improving patient outcomes and developing the nursing and AHP workforce to consistently deliver high quality care enhanced by education and development.

Dr Krishna Gayathri Rajasooriar

GP Tutor Surrey Downs

Gaya is a GP in Kingston at a large training practice. Within the Surrey Heartlands, she is the GP Tutor for Surrey Downs. She has an interest in medical education, women’s health and sexual health.

Njaimeh (Jaimeh) is a GP in Addlestone, as well as Northwest Surrey Mental Health GP Lead and GP Tutor for East Surrey.

Kelly Slavin

Project Support Manager

Kelly has many years of experience in the NHS, previously having worked in a hospital setting, community, and primary care. Kelly joined the Surrey Training Hub in June 2021, supporting a range of projects and co-ordinating all learning environments. Kelly organises all clinical placements in GP practices across Surrey Heartlands and supports the PCN Educator teams,as well as advises Practices and PCNs on Apprenticeship opportunities.

Maria Stevenson

Project Support Manager

Maria is supporting the team with fellowships, education and training as well as maintaining the website. Previously Maria worked at First Community Health and Care, coordinating complex discharges from East Surrey Hospital into community. Maria has extensive project management experience, having worked in the translation industry as well as Royal Opera House.

Davina Bamgbopa

Project Support Manager

Davina comes from a background of International Relations and Political science. Prior to joining the team, Davina worked for NHS CAMHS for 4 years, working with community-based families on systems-wide projects. Davina is responsible for coordinating and assisting on a variety of different workstreams.

Sue Roberts

Business Administrator

Sue has worked in the Training Hub as Business Administrator since July 2019, prior to that she has had a wealth of experience in healthcare, Lead Generation within Sales, and Early Years Childcare where she managed a nursery for 5 years.

Sue supports the day-to-day running of the Training Hub. Some of her responsibilities include liaising with trainers to book courses, managing event bookings, coordinating meetings, agendas and taking minutes in Board meetings. Sue also manages the Training Hub inbox, responding to all enquiries about training needs within Primary and Community care.

Dotty Spenner

Apprenticeship Lead

Dotty joined the team in January 2024. She has over 10 years’ experience working within the NHS, previously having worked as an Apprenticeship Lead and Talent Partner in two NHS Trusts. Her role is to support GP Practices offering apprenticeships and supporting the learners on their journeys. Dotty is very passionate about Apprenticeships and believes that they can bring hugely valuable opportunities for both individuals looking to develop a career pathway and for businesses looking to develop a workforce with the skills their business needs. Knowledge and Library Service Team

Kerry is an Evidence Librarian, embedded in the Surrey Training Hub. She works alongside primary and community-based staff across Surrey Heartlands to ensure all staff can access good quality information and the latest evidence to help inform their patient care and their clinical practice, service improvement and their continuing professional development and studies.
