Course Outline: Immunisation Foundation Course in line with the Public Health England National Minimum Training Standards. This document sets out a recommended minimum framework for training to meet the needs of all registered healthcare practitioners with a role in immunisation.
In order to ensure the ongoing delivery of a high quality, safe and effective immunisation programme that achieves high uptake, it is important that all practitioners involved in the delivery of immunisation programmes have a high level of knowledge and are confident in immunisation policy and procedures. This course aims to deliver a comprehensive foundation training package for those registered clinicians new to immunisations.
Course Aim: To equip registered practitioners with the latest guidance on our national immunisation programmes, and raise awareness to available resources to respond to the challenges encountered whilst delivering adult and childhood immunisations – includes both routine and selective vaccination programmes part of the UK vaccination schedule.
