Surrey Heartlands Pharmacy Funded Courses, updated in December 2025.

The Surrey Heartlands Pharmacy Funded Courses list has been updated and approved by the Surrey Heartlands Medicines Optimisation Operational Group on the 3rd December. It now includes funded training on Frailty, Polypharmacy and Deprescribing, Structured Medication Reviews, Decision-support and Decision-Making Skills.

As pharmacist and pharmacy technician roles are evolving at pace, it has been recognised that there is a need to support the current pharmacy workforce to enhance their skillset; supporting service transformation and readiness for expanded clinical and supervisory roles and in being able to adapt and work across different sectors. The attached list is not exhaustive but could signpost pharmacy professionals and managers to some available funded resources, both nationally and locally. This resource can be used to support any pharmacy professional in:

  • developing their knowledge around specific areas of clinical/ service delivery,
  • providing a foundation if changing sector of work, and
  • highlighting resources for non-clinical skills development.
