Compression Bandaging Theory

PLEASE NOTE:
- You will need to be wearing a face covering to enter the building and for when you are attending the course.
- If you feel ill on the day, please do not come to the training.

*Please note: advantage having attended Leg Ulcer Foundation Management prior to compression bandaging training but not essential*.

By the end of the session the learner will:

• Understand the impact of leg ulcers on individuals.

• Understand anatomy and physiology of the circulation.

• Identify risk factors and causes of leg ulceration.

• Identify the differences between arterial and venous ulceration.

• Identify the types of bandaging, wraps and hosiery products used in delivering compression therapy.

• Identify potential challenges regarding concordance and compression therapy.
