Frailty Awareness training is now available to ALL colleagues and is recommended for anyone who works with frail patients, in any setting – from health care assistants, porters, care setting support staff, etc.
Frailty Awareness Training – Tier 1 – should be completed by all staff
Frailty Awareness Training Tier 1 can be completed online on e-learning. This will take approximately 15 minutes to complete. To access e-learning following this link.
Frailty Awareness Training – Tier 2
Tier 2 Frailty training is a more comprehensive training course that can be completed online or face to face.
This training provides a better understanding on the intricacies of frailty and how to spot early warning signs, possible red flags and know when to raise concerns. It also provides a better understanding and empathy for those facing frailty - recognise the difficulties they may face; support they may require on the most basic level and ways in which we can all do our bit in a hospital or community setting to help.
