Additional Funding to Support ARRS Supervision

Surrey Training Hub is aware, that whilst the support of Additional roles within primary care is welcome, given the increased demands on primary care, this creates an additional challenge when it comes to providing clinical supervision to the new roles for the staff in the practice. To help alleviate some of this challenge we have secured additional funding for each PCN to support the provision of clinical supervision for the additional roles. Each PCN will be allocated £500 / PCN (£83/hour) to pay for 6 times 1 -hour sessions or 3 times 2-hour sessions to be completed over the next 6 months for tutorials/ALS for ARRS roles inclusive of FCPs. This funding can pay for a supervisor to do this work in addition to their clinical commitment or pay for GP Locum cover to release a supervisor to complete this clinical supervision.
