The Surrey Training Hub (formerly Surrey CEPN) is a local partnership supporting the development and transformation of the primary and community care workforce through education and training across the Surrey Heartlands footprint. It is a model developed by Health Education England and rolled out nationally in order to better support the local development of the health workforce.
We aim to attract, develop, support and retain our health and social care professionals working across primary and community settings (GP surgeries, community clinics, care homes etc) throughout the Training Hub footprint to ensure that through education and skills development our patients will benefit from high quality care and services.
Our core functions are:
The work we do is aligned to local priorities set out by the Surrey Heartlands ICS (Integrated Care Systems). For more information visit: Surrey Heartlands Website
As well as local priorities, we work closely with arms-length bodies such as Health Education England Kent, Surrey and Sussex (HEE KSS) and NHS England and Improvement (NHSE/I) to deliver against national priorities.
Our main priorities are around supporting PCNs with their workforce education and development, supporting educators within these networks in supporting new roles while working across the community and primary care space.
Regardless of your role, whether you’re a local GP, nurse, healthcare assistant through to a paramedic or a receptionist working in a health centre, our Training Calendar page will enable you to access information about all of the local training taking place across Surrey. We have tried to make this as simple as possible so that you can filter these by role, area of interest as well as the location of the training itself.
